Reducing cost of Industrial refrigeration

The cost of industrial refrigeration used in different sectors is alarmingly high. The industrial heat pumps, refrigeration piping, process refrigeration and other equipment that needs to be designed and installed in a building or plant in the industrial or commercial sector is expensive. As operational and maintenance costs are very high, the consumer is ultimately affected with the product for purchase being expensive. By using ammonia as a refrigerant the large scale refrigeration costs can be reduced drastically. The characteristics of heat transfer of ammonia is higher than other refrigerants, this ensures that the cost of heat pumps and devices is reduced.

It is necessary to check and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment used in buildings in the commercial and industrial sector regularly. The extensive piping network in large scale industries have to be controlled through compression devices. Heat exchange devices need to be monitored to ensure that they are removing the heat from the air properly. Ammonia screw compressors should be checked regularly by the maintenance supervisor present at the building. Surge drums, Recirculators and evaporative condensers should also be monitored and checked regularly. A timely check and maintenance of equipment ensures that overall costs are reduced because it keeps machine blockages at bay.
